How to Troubleshoot Hunter Soil-Clik

Problem

Plants are too dry.

Cause

  • Moisture level setting too low.
  • Sensor in the wrong location.
Solution

  • Increase arrows (+ button).
  • Move sensor or valve wires; sensor must be in the last zone to water.
Problem

Plants are too wet.

Cause

  • Moisture level setting too high.
  • Sensor in the wrong location.
  • Pause mode has been set.
Solution

  • Decrease arrows (- button).
  • Move the sensor to a sunnier location.
  • Turn off Pause.
Problem

Moisture level seems incorrect.

Cause

  • Incorrect sensor installation/placement.
Solution

  • Ensure full soil contact with the sensor.
  • Check sensor wiring.
Problem

Moisture always at max or minimum.

Cause

  • Failed sensor.
Solution

  • Use handheld sensor meter to verify operation.
Problem

Alarm Symbol is displayed.

Cause

  • Module failure.
Solution

  • Replace Module (Part No. SC-MOD).
Problem

Module display is blank.

Cause

  • Power failure.
Solution

  • Check power connection to host controller.
